Recovery Works

Recovery Works is an 18–24 month integrated program for adults with substance use disorder and co-occurring mental illness in the Inland Northwest, developed by Edge Consulting.

This long-term (18–24 months) initiative provides an integrated approach where treatment, housing, and work are managed by a single team. We serve homeless or unstably housed adults in Spokane who are navigating the complexities of substance use disorder and mental illness.

Program Components

Clinical Care

Deeply integrated 24/7 psychiatric and substance use treatment delivered by a single, multi-disciplinary team. We address the root trauma and co-occurring illnesses simultaneously within a long-term therapeutic environment.

Housing Ladder

A progressive path from high-support stabilization environments to independent community tenancy. Housing is used as a critical clinical intervention, providing the stability necessary for lasting recovery.

Work & Employment

Meaningful work is integrated from the start, moving from internal tasks to competitive community employment. We believe a paycheck and professional dignity are primary components of successful reconstruction.

Family & Community

Ongoing support systems that reconnect participants with their families and build a new, healthy social network. Alumni programs ensure that the community stays strong long after graduation.

Visual Journey

We invite cities, counties, providers, and funders to start a conversation with Edge Consulting. Together, we can adapt and implement the Recovery Works model to create a lasting foundation for reconstruction in your community.
